My work sits at the intersection of counseling and mental performance. For counseling clients in Florida, Vermont, and South Carolina, I treat the clinical side — anxiety, life transitions, identity. For mental performance clients nationwide, I build the skills that translate directly to competition. In both, I stay person-centered: you know your sport, your body, your goals better than I ever will.
I'm Courtney Mayer, founder of Align Mental Health & Performance. I work with athletes — collegiate, professional, and high school — on the mental side of sport: performance anxiety, pre-game routines, in-match resetting, and the identity questions that come up when the game you've built your life around starts to shift.
I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida (LMHC #MH23341), Vermont (Telehealth License #068.0137142TELE), and South Carolina (Telehealth License #TLC 2678 PC). I also offer mental performance coaching on a self-pay basis nationwide. I earned my MEd and EdS from the University of Florida in 2021.
My approach is strengths-based and person-centered. I'll bring the tools — but you're the expert of your own life. Whether you're a student-athlete redefining who you are off the field, a pro managing the mental game, or a high schooler balancing sport, school, and everything else, you deserve someone wholeheartedly in your corner.
I also offer coach and team consultations and parent-focused presentations for high school programs. If you're looking for support beyond individual sessions, reach out.
